The Story :Robert the Bruce and the Spider

Many years ago, there was a king in Scotland named Robert the Bruce. He was a brave man, but he had many problems. He fought many battles to free his country from English rule, but he lost six times. After losing so many battles, he became very sad and hid in a cave to rest.

While he was lying in the cave, thinking about his failures, he saw a little spider trying to climb up the wall. The spider kept falling down, but it did not give up. It tried again and again. Robert the Bruce watched carefully.The spider tried seven times. Each time, it fell. But on the eighth time, it finally succeeded and reached the top of the cave.

Robert the Bruce was inspired. He thought, “If this small spider can succeed after failing so many times, then I should not give up either!”He came out of the cave with new hope. He gathered his soldiers again and fought another battle. This time, he won and finally freed Scotland from the English.

Moral of the story: Try, try again until you succeed.
